Our parent website, The Olive Oil Source, was originally developed as a reliable resource for information about growing olive trees and the production of olive oil. The sale side of The Olive Oil Source was a natural segue as we also grow and maintain olive orchards, and mill and produce olive oil in California (formerly in France as well).
In fact, we opened the first modern olive oil mill in Santa Barbara County.
While Shawn and Antoinette both have graduate degrees from the Food Research Institute at Stanford University, it is their further work in economics and real-world business that informs their decisions at the Olive Oil Source.
Our product selection process is highly critical as we set the bar against one simple question, “Would we purchase this for our own operation or ingestion?”
