The Olive Oil Source is committed to helping make our world a better place. Whether it be through providing much needed social services to local families in need or building a school for children in third world countries, we believe that it is our responsibility, and indeed our privilege, to be part of the solution. To that end we donate 10% of all net profits, to local and global charities.
Below is a partial list of charities that The Olive Oil Source supports. We invite you to visit these organizations to learn more about their work.
Poverty and poor health reinforce each other everywhere, but better access to health services for people stuck in this cycle is integral to positive change on a humanitarian level and for economic productivity. Direct Relief focuses on strengthening existing fragile health systems in poor areas with resources that enable the trained health workers already there to address the tremendous needs.
Human Rights Watch exposes human rights abuses like torture, violence against women, and child exploitation. In order to maintain their independence, they accept no money from any government. HRW relies solely on the generosity of people like us to defend human rights. Donations to HRW help protect rights and save lives in more than 90 countries worldwide.
Transforming the lives of millions of children in developing countries by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. Working in collaboration with local communities, partner organizations and governments, Room to Read develops literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and support girls to complete secondary school with the relevant life skills to succeed in school and beyond.
Dedicated to improving the lives of men, women and children in the Santa Ynez Valley, Los Alamos and the Gaviota Coast by addressing emergency and basic needs and furnishing comprehensive integrated family and individual support services.
Thank you for shopping with The Olive Oil Source and making some of this possible.
